These Clover Puff Fingerless Gloves are one of the designs in the Clover Puff Collection. This pattern was written for small/medium size hands. But, if you would like to make them a little larger you can either change to a worsted weight yarn, or switch to a large hook.

Stitches:

Chain (Ch) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Slip stitch (SS) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Single crochet (Sc) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Double crochet (Dc) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Special Stitches:

3-Puff – (Yarn over. Draw up loop.) x’s 3. Yarn over. Draw through all 7 loops.

Instructions:

Cuff:

Chain 9.

Row 1: Sc in second chain from hook and in each chain across. (8)

Row 2 – 30: Chain 1. Sc in BLO across. (8)

Join row 1 and row 30 with a series of Slip Stitches. Don’t finish off.

Main Glove:

Round 1: Chain 1. Sc in the side of each row around. (30)

Round 2: Chain 2. [Dc. Chain 1. Dc] in same stitch. *Skip the next 2 stitches. [Puff. Chain 1. Puff.] Skip the next 2 stitches. [Dc. Chain 1. Dc].* repeat from * to * around until 5 stitches remain. Skip the next 2 stitches. [Puff. Chain 1. Puff.] Skip the next 2 stitches. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 3: SS into the chain 1 space. Chain 2. Dc in the same chain 1 space. *Chain 2. Puff in the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. Dc in the next chain 1 space.* Repeat from * to * until 5 stitches remain. Chain 2. Puff in the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 4: Chain 1. *[Puff. Chain 1. Puff.] (this will be in the Dc.) [Dc. Chain 1. Dc.] on top of the next puff stitch.* Repeat * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Puff stitch made.

Round 5: SS into the chain 1 space. Chain 1. *Puff in the chain 1 space. Chain 2. Dc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 2.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first puff made.
