Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn (4 Colors)

I 5.50mm Crochet Hook

Yarn needle.

Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

FPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch fron back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Abbreviations:

BL – Back Loop

FL – Front Loop

Color Key:

Cafe Latte: Color A

Claret: Color B

White: Color C

Cornmeal: Color D

Rows 7 – 13: A, A, A, A, B, C, D

Instructions:

Row 7: Chain 3 (counts as first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. [Skip the next stitch. Dc in the next stitch. Dc in the skipped stitch.] Repeat from [ to ] a total of 11 times. Dc in the next Dc. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Dc in the next stitch. [Skip the next stitch. Dc in the next stitch. Dc in the skipped stitch.] Repeat from [ to ] a total of 11 times. 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 8: Chain 3 (Counts as the first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. Dc in the next 27 stitches. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Dc in the next 27 stitches. 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 9: Chain 3 (counts as first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. [Skip the next stitch. Dc in the next stitch. Dc in the skipped stitch.] Repeat from [ to ] a total of 15 times. Dc in the next Dc. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Dc in the next stitch. [Skip the next stitch. Dc in the next stitch. Dc in the skipped stitch.] Repeat from [ to ] a total of 15 times. 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 10: Chain 3 (Counts as the first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. Dc in the next 35 stitches. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Dc in the next 35 stitches. 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 11: Chain 3 (Counts as first Dc). 2Dc in the first stitch. Alternate BL and FL Dc across the next 39 stitches (ending in BL). (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Alternate BL and FL Dc across the next 39 stitches (ending in BL). 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 12: Chain 3 (Counts as the first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. Dc in the next 43 stitches. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. Dc in the next 43 stitches. 3Dc in the turning chain.

Row 13:  Chain 3 (Counts as the first Dc). 2Dc in the very first stitch. BPDc around the next 47 stitches. (2Dc. Chain 2. 2Dc.) in the chain 2 space. BPDc around the next 47 stitches. 3Dc in the turning chain.
