Stitches:

SS: (Slip Stitch) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Ch: (Chain) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Sc: (Single Crochet) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Hdc: (Half Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over.  Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.

Dc: (Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Tr: (Treble) – Yarn over 2 times. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Special Stitches:

Cluster:  [Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over Draw through 2 loops.] a total of 3x’s. Yarn over draw through all 4 loops on the hook.

Instructions:

Color A

Magic Ring

Round 1: Chain 1. 8Hdc. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made. (8)

Round 2: Chain 2. *Dc. Chain 2.* Repeat from * to * around Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (8Dc + 8 chain 2 spaces.)

Round 3: SS into the chain 2 space. Chain 2.*Cluster in the next chain space. Chain 5.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Cluster made. (8 Clusters + 8 Chain 5 Spaces.)

Round 4: Chain 1. *Hdc in the next cluster. 6 Hdc in the next chain 5 space.* Repeat from * to * a total of 6 x’s. *Hdc in the next Cluster. 5Hdc in the next chain 5 space.* Repeat from * to * a total of 2 x’s. Join with a  SS to the first Hdc made. (54 Hdc)

Switch to Color B

Round 5: Chain 2. *Dc. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (27 Dc + 27 Chain 1 Spaces.)

Round 6: Chain 1. *Sc in the next Dc. Chain 3.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (27 Chain 3 spaces.)

Round 7: SS into the next chain. chain 1. *Sc in the next chain 3 space. Chain 3. Sc in the next chain 3 space. 6Dc in the next chain 3 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (9 6Dc shells + 9 Chain 3 spaces.)

Round 8: SS into the next chain. Chain 1. *(Sc. Chain 3. Sc.) in the next chain 3 space. (Dc. Chain 1.) in the next 2 Dc. Tr. Chain 2. Tr. Chain 1. Dc. Chain 1. Dc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.
