Stitches:

Slip Stitch (SS) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Chain (Ch) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Double Crochet (Dc) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

  • Beginning Chain 3 counts as first Dc.
  • The first 2 Dc of each round will be worked in the previous chain 2 space.
  • For this pattern you DON’T turn between rounds.

Chain 4.

Round 1: [2Dc. Ch 2. (3Dc. Chain 2.) x’s. 3.] in the 4th ch from hook. Join with a SS to the top of the starting Ch 3.

Round 2: Ch 3. 2Dc in the same space. Ch 1. [(3Dc. Chain 2. 3Dc.) in the next Ch 2 space. Ch 1.] x’s. 3. 3Dc in the last Ch 2 space. Ch 2. Join with a SS to the top of the starting Ch 3.

Round 3: Ch 3. 2Dc in the same space. Ch 1. [3Dc in the next Ch space. Ch 1. (3Dc. Ch 2. 3Dc.) in the next Ch 2 space. Ch 1.] x’s. 3. 3Dc in the next ch 1 space. Ch 1. 3Dc in the final Ch 2 space. Chain 2. Join with a SS to the top of the starting Ch 3.

Round 4: Ch 3. 2Dc in the same space. Chain 1. [(3Dc in the next Ch 1 space. Ch 1.) x’s. 2. (3Dc. Ch 2. 3Dc.) in the next Ch 2 space. Ch 1.] x’s. 3. (3Dc in the next Ch 1 space. Chain 1.) x’s. 2. 3Dc in the final Ch 2 space. Ch 2. Join with a SS to the top of the starting Ch.

Round 7 (optional): Ch 1. Sc in same space. *Sc in each stitch and Ch space across. (Sc. Ch 2. Sc.) in the next Ch 2 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (100 Sc + 4 Chain 2 spaces)

Finish off. Weaves in ends.
