Mrs. Claus' Ballet Slipper - Free Crochet Pattern - The Lavender Chair

Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn (Red, White, Gold)

H 5.00mm Crochet Hook

Yarn needle

US Women’s 5/6 (7/8, 8/9)

Stitches:

SS: (Slip Stitch) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch and loop.

Ch: (Chain) – Yarn over. Pull through loop.

Sc: (Single Crochet) – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Hdc: (Half Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over.  Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 3 loops.

Dc: (Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Fpdc: (Front Post Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook from back to front around the stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Bpdc: (Back Post Double Crochet) – Yarn over. Insert hook from front to back around the stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.

Special Stitches:

Sc2tog: (Single Crochet 2 Together)  – Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Hdc2tog: (Half Double Crochet 2 Together) – Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Insert hook into next stitch. Yarn over. Draw up loop. Yarn over. Pull through all loops on the hook.

Instructions:

Chain 20 (22, 24) (Black)

Round 1: In third chain from hook make 3 Hdc. Hdc across until one chain remains. Hdc 6. Working around the other side of the chains, Hdc across to the last chain. Hdc 3. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 2: Chain 1. Make 2Hdc in the next three stitches. Hdc in the next 7 (8, 9) stitches. Dc in the next 9 (10, 11) stitches. Make 2Dc in the next 6 stitches. Dc in the next 9 (10, 11) stitches. Hdc in the next 7 (8, 9) stitches. Make 2 Hdc in the next three stitches. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 3: Chain 1. Repeat *2Hdc, Hdc* three times. Hdc in the next 7 (8, 9) stitches. Dc in the next 9 (10, 11) stitches. Repeat *2Dc, Dc* six times. Dc in the next 9 (10, 11) stitches. Hdc in the next 7 (8, 9) stitches. Repeat *2Hdc, hDc* three times. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 4: Chain 1. Repeat *Hdc, Hdc 2Hdc* three times. Hdc in the next 16 (18, 20) stitches. Repeat *Hdc, Hdc, 2Hdc* 6 times. Hdc in the next 16( 18, 20) stitches. Repeat *Hdc, Hdc, 2Hdc* three times. Join with a SS to the first Hdc made.

Round 5: Chain 1. In Blo, Sc all the way around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 80 (84, 88)

Change Color (Red)

Round 6: Chain 1. Sc around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 80 (84, 88)

Round 7: Chain 1. Sc 25 (27, 29). Repeat *Sc2tog, Sc*  10 times. Sc 25 (27, 29). Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 70 (74, 78)

Round 8: Chain 1. Sc around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 70 (74, 78)

Round 9: Chain 1. Sc 2. Sc3tog. Sc in the next 18 (20, 22). Repeat *Sc2tog, Sc* 8 times. Sc 18 (20, 22). Sc3tog. Sc 2. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 58 (62, 66)

Round 10: Chain 1. Sc 2. Sc3tog. Sc 48 (52, 56). Sc3tog. Sc 2. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. 54 (58, 62)

Round 11: Chain 1. Sc 2. Sc2tog. 14 (16, 18). Repeat *Sc2tog, Sc* 6 times. Sc 14 (16, 18). Sc2tog. Sc 2. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 12: Chain 1. Sc 2. Sc2tog. 13 (15, 17) Hdc2tog. Hdc2tog. Dc2tog. Dc2tog. Hdc2tog. Hdc2tog. 13 (15, 17). Sc2tog. Sc 2. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Change Color (White)

Round 13: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Finish off

Strap: (Black)

Chain 26

Row 1: Sc in second chain from hook and in each chain across. (25)

Row 2: Chain 1. Sc across. (25)

Finish off leaving long tail and sew to either side of the slipper.

Buckle: (Gold)

Chain 14. Join with a SS to the first Chain made

Round 1: Chain 1. *Sc. (Sc. chain 1. Sc.) Sc in the next 3 stitches. (Sc. chain 1. Sc.) Sc.* Repeat from * to * around.

Finish off leaving long tail and sew to strap.
