Stitches:
CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.
SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.
DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.
HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three stitches.
Instructions:

Round 1: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (60)
Round 2: Chain 2. *[Dc. Chain 1.] x’s. 4 in the same stitch. Skip the next stitch. Sc in the next stitch. Chain 5. Sc in the next stitch. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.
Round 3: SS into the first chain 1 space. Chain 2. *[3Dc in the next chain 1 space (first Dc will be placed in same space as SS). Chain 2.] x’s. 2. 3Dc in the next chain 1 space. (Sc. Chain 3. Sc.) in the next chain 5 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.
Round 4: SS into the next 2 Dc and next chain space. Chain 1. *Sc in the next Chain 2 space (first one will be in same stitch as SS). Chain 5. Sc in the next chain 2 space. Chain 1. [Dc. Chain 1.] x’s. 4. in the next chain 3 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Join wth a SS to the first Sc made.
